The rapid rate of COVID and Omicron cases in the state has become a constant reason to worry. Meanwhile, the Bengali entertainment industry has recorded many cases in the past few days. Now, celebrity couple Raj Chakraborty-Subhashree Ganguly has tested positive for COVID once again.

Subhashree took to her social media handle to inform everyone about their condition.

Last year too, the Raj and Subhashree had tested positive for COVID.

Son Yuvaan is with other family members. They have requested all those who came in contact with them in the recent past, to get tested.

Raj and Subhashree reside in a residential complex, off EM Bypass, Kolkata. After several cases of COVID were found in the complex, KMC has declared it as a micro-containment zone. Actress Rachna Banerjee, Srabanti Chatterjee and many other celebrities reside in that complex.

In the past few days, singer-music composer Jeet Gannguli, director Srijit Mukherji, Chitrangada and many others have tested positive for COVID. Actress Parno Mittra, who had tested positive for the virus last year, has tested positive for COVID again. Television director and producer Susanta Das, who was busy with the launch of his upcoming show ‘Alta Phoring’ has also tested positive for COVID.

Sourav Ganguly, who was extensively travelling for his professional commitments, was hospitalised after testing positive for the virus. Later, he was discharged and current he is in home isolation.

On the other hand, the State government has imposed certain restrictions keeping the current situation in mind. Although, the notice sent by state govt. doesn’t mention anything about entertainment industry, the TV channels, Producers Guild and Artists’Forum have asked all the shooting units to maintain strict COVID norms.
